Alexis Cabernet Sauvignon

Swanson

Napa Valley

Alexis Cabernet Sauvignon is the flagship wine of Swanson Vineyards founded in 1985 by W. Clarke and Elizabeth Swanson after the family established roots on a 100-acre Oakville property. Alexis has grown into the winery’s signature Cabernet expression: elegant, structured, and rooted in the family’s distinctive world of Napa hospitality, salon culture, and refined but playful luxury.

Tasting Notes

Striking in appearance, with a dark ruby color, this vintage of Alexis is immediately seductive. On the nose, ripe red fruits mingle with cocoa, plum and a touch of vanilla. Robust tannins fill out the palate making this a candidate for long term aging. The palate flavors are dark fruits, slight wet clay note, some espresso bean and a touch of dark chocolate. All this is held together within a firm acidity, retaining freshness and structure. The wine possesses the quality that we consistently strive for layers of nuance, rich texture, and a persistent finish.
